What’s new?
I’ve mainly be struggling on AI behaviour in Ukraine. And that’s rather tricky, because the generic AGE AI hasn’t been updated to deal with more than 2 factions opposition. Sadly, the only way to deal with the major new feature of RUS is to improve AI by event, which is cumbersome to say the last. I hope to have found a way, but I guess much more work is needed for getting a better AI in that area….
Early feb 1919, Poles decided to build factory in Poznan by raising money from people, and additionaly they are mobilized. They are ready for a war ! Maybe they should march Ukraine
Red cavalry detachments seems to cover unprotected cities or they capture them again from Trains. Trotski with big force came to protect the objective city of Vologda from Mıller in the north. It is really a challange to get money to pay even replacements. Wıth foreign help it is better now for Southern whites but low on manpower. I choose advanced land reform got 20 percent loyalty in Archangelsk. But reform started before I choose most advanced land reform policy. I think loyalty gain will be higher when I choose reform again.
I saw only in one region, green revolt in the whole map. Reds are advancing through Volga by capturing samara. Excellent.

I tried to keep Southern White economy with figures allowing either to be strong in the South or in the nOrth, but not both ( Northern Whites were very weak in reality).
I’m currently curing Yudenith offical events, this Army will appear only in Narva and any Red incursion in this region will trigger Balts in war.
It’s maybe possible Poles will not enter war due to a possible glitch. Let me know if I’m right.
You’re using reforms as intended
I consider ythe moderate reform choice to be the better for Southern Whites. That’s not the historical path but in gamplay it’s the best for them, as it’s the only way to get support in conquered provinces, gaining them some bonus in production and for enemy movement detection. Enforcing the second option should be IMHO reserved to special cases, as the number of areas controlled by Southern Whites remain small in the game.
Yes much better and realistic without very healty elements in the stack most of the time,at least during first years, I choose all the extreme policies to see if there can be a glitch or absurd situation.
Yudenich appeared in Narva, But generally I was going ofensive to Petrograd or other northern provinces in previous games, that Reds were in the defensive, lets see if they will decide to attack Narva and trigger war with balts.If they are more stronger with rules they will have more men to spare, other part is what will siberians do.
Not important but Kiel bay still locked in the scenario after the end of ww1. Or maybe it will open once Reds declare war on balts.
What I wonder is that, is Southern white AI ally with balts or finland when they are in bad situation, I didnt play as Reds to see it though.

1919 early march I got two newly built and polished tank battalions in Tehran !
They can not move without a rail so I guess they are stuck in the hills of Persia.
I think French and Greek generals get locked for 2 weeks not the units. I got a message for specific location but ıt was French generals showing, his units(unlocked) were under the command of a cossack general 1 region north.
Regarding tank units, I got a message about receiving 16 units. Location was showing Baku. I didnt guarentee their independences. I think tank units will be deploted in Tehran again as playing southern whites.

You have chosen the Reform option, which is unhistorical and which limit to4 requisitions and conscriptions. So I think thanks to your point Red needs to use 5 requistions and conscriptions to get the same number of elements than in reality or follow the Reform path to the cost of a smaller Army.

That’s the point: Nep and conscriptions cost 1 NM each, and so you can’t as Red do both extensively without some geat losses in NM. IMHO, Reds aheve best frst to use the combo many consciptions/ many Tchekas to get an huge army before fulfilling the conditions to enforce Nep, in 1920. For Southern Whites, the best spot for Land Reforms is certainly the first months of 1919. For Siberian Whites, I don’t know
Really I think Siberians have some real advantages to perform soon Land Reforms but the loss in requisitions and conscription potential may be deadly against a Red opponent prioritizing the defeat of Siberian faction…

IMHO you’re wrong.
You forget first the largest part of Red Army was paper strenght only. Real combat ready units were not very high. If you look at most battles, both sides had around 30,000 men at best…The rest was unfit ragtag of units.
Siberian: 100,000 briefly in November 18- February 19 ( and with the usual unknown about real numbers). From March 19: 35,000 at best. That’s the real numbers unless you got other somewhere.
So for me numbers are rignht. If I’m relunctant to introduce desertion events, it’s just because these events would have some sense only by including these second lines troops for Reds or would reduce Siberian Whites to their historical strenght too soon.
Don’t take it too harshly, but among all your ideas about gameplay, I haven’t yet seen one proposal diminushing in any way player’s possibility: you want cheaper fortifications, more troops, more positive leaders….For me, muliplying player’s means is just finishing to cretae an easier game. And easier game are boring. All the compromises made in the official RUS have just had this effect, considering the vey low activity on the forum. Civilization isn’t easy at start. When it becomes somewhat it in the end game, Civilization II, III, IV is boring…
Playing as Siberian whites there are some unusual movements of AI in fareast. They are marching south, it will be an interesting game.
Clovis, in turn 4 I got the same error again after uniting Siberian white factions. such as:

and after that game crushed to desktop.

For the official design I think there should be some auto-garrison feature like in Rop or Wia. That way trains wont capture the undefended cities and advance quickly. At least 1 militia formed before the attack would solve the problem. Especially for cities that have a port. Currently at the beginning of the game playing with siberian whites with Annenkov and single partisan cavalry, I captured Pokrovsk and Balakovo in one turn. 3 full health transport ship captured.
I don’t think so. What’s important are the railways cities. If you create one garrison in each town, whatever its importance, you will slow the AI when t’s attacking. Human player does so, but with a cost AI will not pay with autogarrison. I undersatnd easy capture of naval stuff to be annoying but fortunatly, naval role is very secondary in RUS. IMHO, it’s more a generic AI rpoblem, AI should be able to protect navies at harbour…
Reds intercept and attacked Molchanov brigade when he was on the way to Perm, very good.
About my previous posts I forgot to say that I captured many ships on that turn from reds. Additionaly I captured 3 more ships from Kostroma and Kinechma resulting 6 transport ship total.
In manual it says whites can not do single reform policy when reform policy not chosen. But I can use single reform policy in samara or ther place.
You have chosen the Unhistorical path option, so you get 1 free Land Reform. WAD ( and normally explained somewhere in the notes file

I choose the “unite siberian factions” option. Around spetember 4-star general appeared in Omsk. He was locked. In early december Kolchak appeared and czech legion left the theatre only garrison units stayed. 4-star general also gone . But I wanted them all to stay .. they left without a word ..:)
WAD. With the Unite option CZech will remain a little more but will depart anayway…

After this turn I got 645 rubble from foreign aid (budget was minus). Allies send aid 3 times to Vladivostok in 1 turn.
As a result of the aid I got 8 units of supply wagon(32 element total) in Vladivostok.
Japanese 1 star general Misao advance to Khabarovsk while he was locked.(actually I think he first appeared in Vladivostok.) Reds attacked the city of Khabarovsk and took it, currently Mısao sieging the city as locked. He didnt unlock. I uploaded the save file.
Actually foreign aid is a little much
I now have 1000 ruble even I constructed good amount of units and 7-8 heavy artilery.with double triple aid in 1 turn and it is possible to build big army. Generally siberians have loyal regions then southern whites but with foreign aids it is not necessary to make requisition. Better to get concript from regions.
